1. Define how much interruption is acceptable
A standard bag housing normally needs isolation for media change. A duplex arrangement provides two chambers and a controlled switching path so an available side can support the duty while the other side is isolated. An automatic cleaning system adds a defined cleaning mechanism and control sequence, but only when the contaminant can be released and discharged reliably.
2. Match the mechanism to the deposit

3. Include utilities and discharge in the selection
Automatic cleaning may require water, compressed air, electrical supply, instruments and a safe discharge path. These requirements can outweigh lower manual intervention when utilities or waste handling are limited. Duplex switching also requires the valve fail position, switching logic and isolated-side service method to be defined.
4. Send the continuity and control brief
State allowable interruption, standby philosophy, control platform, available signals, hazardous-area classification, cleaning utilities and solids-disposal method together with the fluid and hydraulic data.
