Bag Filter Housings
Single and multi-bag housings configured around flow, solids loading, material and maintenance requirements.

Choose the operating concept before the model.
Bag filtration is selected around solids holding, bag material, allowable pressure drop and replacement frequency. Published flow figures are reference values, not automatic sizing guarantees.
Select the housing around the process—not a catalogue photo.
Bag count is the result of flow, viscosity, solids loading and acceptable change-out frequency. The sequence below turns those conditions into a defensible preliminary route.
Define the fluid
Confirm chemistry, viscosity, operating and cleaning temperature, and whether sanitary construction is required.
Define the contaminant
Record target micron, particle shape, solids concentration and whether the objective is protection, recovery or clarification.
Calculate hydraulic duty
Use normal and peak flow, inlet pressure and allowable clean/terminal differential pressure—not flow alone.
Choose service concept
Set bag size and count, inlet layout, closure, maintenance clearance and change-out interval around the plant.
Preliminary route matrix
| Operating condition | Recommended starting route | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Moderate flow and scheduled manual change-out | Single-bag housing | Compact, simple and economical for one No. 1 or No. 2 bag. |
| Higher flow or heavier solids loading | Multi-bag housing | Parallel bags increase filtration area and solids-holding capacity. |
| Restricted headroom or side-oriented piping | Side-entry configuration | Allows the layout and service envelope to be coordinated with the installation. |
| Direct top-flow path is preferred | Top-entry configuration | Provides a dedicated top-entry arrangement for the selected duty. |
Six inputs prevent most sizing errors.
Send available values; “unknown” is acceptable and will be treated as an engineering question.
- Fluid name and composition
- Normal / peak flow and viscosity
- Operating / cleaning temperature
- Solids loading and target micron
- Pressure, connection and piping layout
- Preferred material, bag size and change interval
Complete the selection with the correct filter bag.
Housing seals, bag dimensions, ring construction, media chemistry and differential-pressure limits must be checked together.
Published ranges support preliminary comparison only. Final sizing, material compatibility and pressure-temperature suitability require JINLV engineering confirmation for the actual operating envelope.
