General engineering guidance only. Final equipment selection, safety controls and operating procedures must be approved for the actual project.
1. Isolate and make safe
Follow the approved site procedure to stop flow, isolate energy, depressurize, drain, cool and verify that hazardous material is controlled before opening equipment.
2. Inspect the pressure boundary
Check closure components, threads or clamps, vent and drain points, weld areas and visible corrosion or deformation. Escalate damage before returning the housing to service.
3. Replace media and seals correctly
Verify the replacement bag or cartridge identity, seating, support and seal condition. Do not reuse a seal unless the approved procedure specifically permits it.
4. Record operating evidence
Track clean and terminal pressure drop, change-out date, observed contaminant, leaks, seal condition and unusual operating events to improve future selection and maintenance planning.
