1. Freeze the connection standard
A nominal size is incomplete without the applicable flange, thread or hygienic connection standard, pressure class and sealing face. Confirm mating equipment and regional standards before the approved drawing is released.
2. Review orientation and drainage
Inlet and outlet orientation affects piping stress, venting, draining and operator access. Identify high-point vents, low-point drains, trapped liquid risks, required slopes and whether cleaning fluid must fully drain from the system.
3. Protect the maintenance envelope

4. Provide an installation interface drawing
For an engineered quotation, mark nozzle centerlines, available footprint, height limit, support points, service envelope, mating piping and instrument locations. The approved equipment drawing should be checked against the plant layout before fabrication.
